6-8        Brigance (Grades: FACE & Kindergarten)

              Purpose: Cognitive, Physical Development, Language, Literacy, and Mathematics, Individually tested by

              classroom teacher.

Time: 20 minutes

Results: Shared at fall parent conferences.5

6-14     Northwest Evaluation Association- Measure of Academic Progress (NWEA: FACE-11)

           Purpose: District adaptive test used to measure student progress over time. Measures student academic

                          growth in Math, Reading, and Science over time and informs classroom instruction and individual

                           student progress.

Time: 45 Minutes, online reading & science; 2 hours Math

Results: Shared with parents at conference.

 

Aimsweb Plus- Reading and Math

Purpose: District measure used to monitor student progress. Informs classroom instruction and individual

              student progress.

Time:   3-5 minutes online

Results: Shared with parents during conferencing.

 

December 2017

              Purpose: Optional – two-year Minnesota College Entrance Exam to determine college readiness

              Time: 1.5 hours, online

              Results: Shared with students when they complete testing

 

5            ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery)

              9:00 am in computer lab

              Purpose: Optional College Career Readiness Aptitude Battery of tests

              Time: 3 hours, online

              Results: Shared with students and mailed home.

TBA       ACCUPLACER- online grades 10-12

              Purpose: Optional – two-year Minnesota College Entrance Exam to determine college readiness

                          Time: 1.5 hours, online

              Results: Shared with students when they complete testing

 

April 2018          

4-30       Minnesota Comprehensive Assessments (MCA) Reading & Math & Science and MTAS

              Purpose: Required for state and federal accountability. The MCA’s measure student performance related to                                     the Minnesota state academic standards in reading, math, and science. Informs content alignment                                   to state standards decisions system-wide.

                          Time: 2-4 hours, online

              Results: Teachers discuss with students and results are mailed home.

 

3            ACT + Writing grade 11: ACT College and Career Readiness System, online

              Purpose: Measures student academic college readiness. State required opportunity to take the ACT +                                           Writing for all juniors.

                          Time: 4 hours, online

              Results: Results are mailed to students home by ACT.
